Sci-Fest 2022

For this year's National Science Festival we were tasked with creating a show for our university's radio station Rhodes Music Radio. I was made Senior/Executive Producer of this show which meant that I was in charge of putting the show together. In order to make this show happen, I created the running program for the show and assigned people (package producers) to cover various events at the festival. I also arranged a guest for the show along with the help of the guest producers. I had to approve everything that was going to be on the show before it went on air, for example, I had to listen to audio packages beforehand in order to make sure they were of quality before allowing them to be put on the air.

Along with these responsibilities, I myself was also involved in the show itself. I conducted an interview with the famous "Kitchen Chemist" Professor Stephen Ashworth and asked him questions about his work as well as his show. I also did a voicer for one of the audio packages that were put on the air. I also made my way to Sci-Fest 2022 and asked people questions about how they felt about Sci-Fest this year and got wonderful feedback on the festivities.
This experience overall was quite challenging but I learned a lot about what it takes to put a show together and the amount of time and effort it takes.
