Reflection!

This year was the first I got to experience what it meant to be an audio journalist, from learning how to edit to conducting interviews with strangers to learning how to use Adobe Premiere Pro for the first time, it was all exciting and at times a challenging and frustrating process. This year I learned how to open myself up more because one of the core aspects of my job is learning how to interact with strangers and conduct interviews, I also learned how to write hard news stories and how to properly read a news bulletin. It was full of new experiences for me and it was all worthwhile considering all the skills I have acquired throughout this last year. 

The thing I enjoyed the most this year was being the Senior Producer for our show on Rhodes Music Radio. As challenging as it was having to be in charge of everything, it was a wonderful learning experience for me and I learned a lot about my own strengths and weaknesses.

In the future, I hope to use all of the skills that I acquired throughout my career as a journalist and when I start my podcast.

It has been incredible being able to learn about myself and my profession over the last year and I cannot wait to see what lies in store for me in the future.
